In 2005, Pastor Ross and Amie moved their family from Ohio to Georgia along with one other family to start Momentum Church.

Knowing no one from the area, Pastor Ross took every opportunity he could to meet people in the community and invite them to the The Serene Bean coffee shop (now Vingenzo’s) on Sunday nights.

After a few weeks of no one showing up, a mother and daughter finally came. A couple more people joined over the next few weeks and God started doing a work through the small group of people God was assembling to launch Momentum Church.

Following several months of meeting at the coffee shop, Momentum Church officially launched on January 5, 2006 at Cherokee 16 Cinemas on Towne Lake Parkway. Week in and week out people served selflessly to provide a home for those needing hope. God began to draw people to Momentum and change lives as a testimony of what He can do as we unite together for His purpose.

In 2009, Momentum signed a lease on a small warehouse on Highway 92. The people rallied together and built out the space from the ground up over several months. This location served as our home for the next 5 years and saw us grow to 3 services.

2015 saw Momentum move into their new and current home at 659 Arnold Mill Road. Momentum was able to secure the property 8 months ahead of schedule and has seen God continue to change lives and open new doors for growth.

Momentum has been a place where people who were raised in church, been in and out of church, or never stepped foot in a church have all found a place to belong.

This has been a brief history of our story thus far. We invite you to join us this Sunday and come find your story of hope!
